Today, I am sharing my bullet journal layout for the week of February 12th to the 18th, which of course includes Valentine’s Day. I’ve been using valentine’s theme throughout the month of February so for this week, I chose crocodiles.
I have a YouTube video uploaded to my channel for you to follow along with. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. As always, I am in no way affiliated with any of the products/brands I mention in my post or in my video.
- Scribbles that Matter bullet journal
- Crayola Super Tips
- Tombow Mono Drawing pens (in sizes 01, 03, and 05)
- My stickers are from the “Love Bites” collection from Lettering Delights
- Brilliance pigment ink stamp pad in graphite black
I always, always do my rough draft in pencil first. This way I am able to make sure I am happy with the layout. I’m not against just throwing things on a page, I just prefer to start the foundation planned out with a pencil. I then go over the pencil lines with the Tombow Mono Drawing pen in the 05 size. I use the mono drawing pens since they don’t fade when you erase over them. It’s the best! I also use my 05 size for doting out my lines. I prefer to use the 03 for the check boxes and outlining the words. The 01 is reserved for touching up any stamping issues I may have run into. I also wanted to outline the dates so I used the 01 for that.
For the coloured border, month, and days, I used my Crayola Super Tips. YES they are great for calligraphy. They are also inexpensive so that you don’t have to worry as much about ruining them with the wrong kind of paper.
As mentioned earlier, my stickers are from the Lettering Delights website where you can purchase files to cut. I use my Silhouette Cameo to cut stickers. It’s great because using their software, I am able to manipulate the size to fit exactly what I want. These stickers were a little bigger than I wanted but I still like how it turned out.
If this is your first time watching or reading one of my posts, I mentioned before in a previous post about stamping in a bullet journal. I’m pretty consistent when it comes too stamping in my bullet journal so the same concepts applied to this spread.
I can’t believe we are halfway through February. February is always a bit of a “write-off” month since it is so much shorter but it always flies by so quickly. One and a half weeks of red and pink left and then Easter colours. I am not much of a pastel person but we’ll see what I manage to come up with. I hope you guys follow along and, as always, if you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. If you would like any additional information on any of the products I use, I’ll be more than happy to answer them.
Hope you all have a great week!
